Hummus Appetizer Recipe

This protein-rich dip is the most famous appetizers in the Middle East. You can also put Hummos on fish, meat and chicken or have it as a side dish. Tahini is creamy liquid ingredient, which you can either find in grocery stores specially Arabic stores or in department stores beside Peanut Butter.

Ingredients
1-3/4 cups cooked Chickpeas
1/2 cup Sour cream or yogurt
1/4 cup Water
2 cloves Garlic crushed with salt
1/4 cup Tahini
1/3 cup Lemon juice
1 or 2 tbs chopped Fresh mint (optional)

Directions
Add all the ingredients in a blender or food processor. Add additional tahini and/or lemon juice if necessary until you have achieved a flavor and consistency that suits your taste. This texture should be thinner than mashed potatoes but with enough body to hold an edge.

Cinnamon Snack Mix Baking Recipe

This is a really good crunchy and delicious snack mix that your whole family enjoyed.


Ingredients
5 cups honey graham cereal
3 cups cinnamon-flavored bear-shaped graham cookies
2 cups ramen noodles, crushed
3/4 cup sliced almonds
1 cup golden raisins
1/3 cup butter
1/3 cup honey
1 teaspoon orange juice

Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). In a large bowl, mix honey graham cereal, bear-shaped graham cookies, ramen noodles, almonds, and golden raisins. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt butter, and blend in honey and orange juice. Spread over the honey graham cereal mixture, and toss to coat. Spread mixture onto a large baking sheet. Bake 10 minutes in the preheated oven.

10 Minute Zesty Salsa Recipe

Ingredients
1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes and green chilies, undrained
1 tablespoon seeded and chopped jalapeno pepper
1 tablespoon chopped red onion
1 tablespoon minced fresh cilantro
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
Dash salt
Dash pepper
Tortilla chips

Directions
In a small bowl, combine the tomatoes, jalapeno, onion, cilantro, garlic, oil, salt and pepper. Refrigerate until serving. Serve with tortilla chips.

Note: When cutting or seeding hot peppers, use rubber or plastic gloves to protect your hands. Avoid touching your face.

Yields: 6 Servings
